These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the MtM Academy platform, community spaces, resources, and membership services provided by MtM Academy (ABN 40 681 084 417) (“MtM Academy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). MtM Academy is part of Mastering the Markets Pty Ltd.
By accessing or using MtM Academy (including any of its subdomains or community platforms), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use or access MtM Academy. By continuing to access or use MtM Academy after the effective date of any updated Terms, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by those updated Terms.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where we make material changes that negatively affect your existing rights or obligations, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice by email or through the platform before those changes take effect. Minor administrative, operational or non-material changes may take effect immediately upon publication.
1. Membership Tiers
1.1 MtM Academy offers three membership tiers, each with varying levels of access and benefits:
- Free Membership – Access to limited community spaces, announcements, partner insights, and selected educational resources.
- Silver Membership – AUD $67 per month. Includes access to additional learning materials, live calls, and member-only community spaces.
- Gold Membership – AUD $249 per month. Includes full access to all MtM Academy features, advanced materials, premium live sessions, and exclusive events.
1.2 All prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST). Fees are charged monthly through Stripe unless otherwise stated.
1.3 We may update membership inclusions or pricing prospectively from time to time, providing at least 14 days’ notice of any material changes.
1.4 Membership Inclusions
Membership inclusions, educators, presenters, schedules, timetables, community spaces, live sessions, session frequency, session duration, educational resources, partner offers and platform features may change from time to time.
1.5 Changes to Membership Features
Mastering the Markets reserves the right to add, remove, modify, suspend or discontinue any membership benefit, educator, feature, community space, live session, event or platform functionality where reasonably required for operational, educational, legal or business reasons.
Membership provides access to the MtM Academy platform and its overall educational experience. Membership does not guarantee access to any particular educator, presenter, moderator, ambassador, guest speaker, partner, feature, live session, timetable, session frequency, session duration, event or educational content unless expressly stated by Mastering the Markets.
Academy live calls, webinars, workshops, market updates, chart reviews, livestreams and other educational sessions may be added, removed, substituted, delivered by an alternative educator, pre-recorded, rescheduled or cancelled where reasonably necessary due to educator availability, illness, annual leave, public holidays, live events, operational requirements, market conditions or other legitimate business reasons. Live sessions may also not be scheduled during public holidays or other periods where the Academy timetable is adjusted.
Unless otherwise advised, Academy live calls and educational sessions are generally scheduled around Australian public holidays. Mastering the Markets may, at its discretion, observe Australian or other public holidays, or continue to operate during such periods. The Academy timetable may vary from time to time and members should refer to the published Academy schedule for current session information.
While Mastering the Markets aims to deliver scheduled live sessions, the cancellation, rescheduling or replacement of one or more live sessions does not constitute a cancellation or material reduction of an Academy Membership.
Where practical, Mastering the Markets may provide an alternative educator, live session, recording or educational resource. However, Mastering the Markets is not obliged to replace every cancelled live session.
Changes to membership inclusions, educators, live sessions, timetables, session frequency, session duration, delivery methods, educational content or membership features do not entitle members to a refund, credit, extension, deferment, compensation or any reduction in membership fees.
Mastering the Markets may also introduce new membership tiers, remove existing membership tiers or vary membership inclusions from time to time.
2. Free Access and Trial Policy
2.1 Each non-paying member is entitled to one MtM Academy free access or trial period per calendar year.
2.2 Free access or trial eligibility excludes users who have held a paid Academy membership within the preceding 12 months.
2.3 Duplicate free access or trial sign-ups within the same year may be cancelled or converted to a paid membership at the current rate.
2.4 Unless cancelled before expiry, a trial membership will automatically renew to a paid monthly plan at the prevailing rate. A valid payment method may be required to start a trial.
3. Membership Accounts
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to hold an MtM Academy account.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
3.3 Each MtM Academy membership is licensed to one individual only and must not be shared, transferred, assigned, sublicensed or otherwise made available to another person.
3.3A Account Sharing and Access
Members must not:
- share login credentials;
- allow another person to access or use their account;
- stream or broadcast live Academy sessions to others;
- provide access to recordings, downloads or premium resources;
- allow multiple individuals to use a single membership.
Mastering the Markets reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships where it reasonably believes an account has been shared or accessed by multiple users.
3.4 MtM Academy reserves the right to suspend, archive or permanently remove inactive accounts after an extended period of inactivity, or where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, fraudulent activity, security concerns or a breach of these Terms or the Academy House Rules.
4. Payment, Renewal, and Cancellation
4.1 All paid memberships are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
4.2 Members can cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4.3 No refunds, credits, or pro-rata adjustments will be issued for partial-month cancellations, unused time, or change of mind.
4.4 It is your responsibility to ensure your payment method is current and valid. Failed payments may result in temporary suspension until resolved.
4.5 We reserve the right to change payment providers or methods and will notify you of any material change in advance.
5. Community Conduct
5.1 Members must engage respectfully, constructively, and lawfully within the MtM Academy community.
5.2 The following behaviour is strictly prohibited: harassment, bullying, intimidation, abusive behaviour, impersonation, unlawful conduct, discrimination, hate speech, threats, spam, self-promotion of external products, spreading false or misleading information or attempts to circumvent moderation.
5.3 Mastering the Markets may apply warnings, temporary restrictions, suspension or termination depending on the nature and severity of the conduct. While many breaches will ordinarily follow a three-strike process, Mastering the Markets reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate membership where it reasonably considers the conduct to be serious.
5.4 We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or edit posts and comments that breach community guidelines or these Terms.
5.5 External Communities
Members must not use MtM Academy to recruit, encourage, invite, facilitate, organise or direct other members to external communities, discussion groups or communication platforms including (without limitation) Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook Groups, Slack, Signal, Reddit, private forums or similar platforms without the prior written consent of Mastering the Markets.
5.6 Solicitation and Promotion
Members must not use MtM Academy to advertise, promote or sell products, services, investment opportunities, coaching programs, affiliate offers, competing education businesses or other commercial activities unless expressly authorised by Mastering the Markets. This includes direct messages, private invitations and off-platform communications.
5.7 Member Privacy
Members must not collect, copy, harvest or use the contact details or personal information of other members for commercial, promotional or unauthorised purposes.
5.8 Educator Boundaries
Members must not pressure, harass or repeatedly contact educators, moderators, ambassadors or staff for personalised financial advice, investment recommendations, portfolio reviews, private mentoring or preferential treatment beyond the services expressly offered by Mastering the Markets.
5.9 Circumventing the Community
Members must not use MtM Academy to encourage, facilitate, organise or participate in discussions, groups or communities outside the Academy platform where the purpose or effect is to bypass, replace, compete with, materially diminish participation in, or replicate the MtM Academy community or its educational services.
5.10 Member Relationships
Members must not use MtM Academy to solicit, recruit, employ, contract, engage or otherwise approach other members, educators, moderators, ambassadors, staff, sponsors or partners for competing businesses, investment groups, coaching services, commercial activities or other purposes that conflict with the interests of Mastering the Markets without prior written consent.
5.11 Private Messaging
Members must not use private messages, direct messages or off-platform communication initiated through MtM Academy to circumvent these Terms or engage in conduct that would otherwise be prohibited within the Academy.
5.12 Respect for the Community
Members must not engage in conduct intended to undermine the integrity, culture, educational experience or commercial interests of MtM Academy.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
6.1 All intellectual property rights in MtM Academy content, including but not limited to videos, documents, text, images, logos, software, and designs, are owned by or licensed to MtM Academy and its licensors.
6.2 Intellectual Property Restrictions
Members must not copy, reproduce, record, screen record, photograph, download, republish, distribute, upload, share or otherwise reproduce any MtM Academy content without prior written consent.
This includes live sessions, recordings, educator commentary, charts, presentations, downloads, documents, community discussions, images, graphics, educational resources and premium content.
This prohibition applies regardless of whether the content is modified, summarised, translated, adapted or incorporated into other materials.
6.2.1 Community Confidentiality
MtM Academy community discussions, live sessions and educational content are provided exclusively for members.
Members must not reproduce, quote, share, publish or distribute discussions, screenshots, recordings or content outside MtM Academy without prior written consent.
6.2.2 Recording Restrictions
Members must not record, screen record, photograph or otherwise capture live Academy sessions without the prior written consent of Mastering the Markets.
6.2.3 Artificial Intelligence
Members must not use artificial intelligence tools to scrape, record, summarise, transcribe, reproduce, republish or commercially exploit MtM Academy content without the prior written consent of Mastering the Markets. Members must not use MtM Academy content to train, improve or develop artificial intelligence models, datasets or automated systems without prior written consent.
6.2.4 Commercial Use
MtM Academy content is provided solely for the personal educational use of the enrolled member. Members must not use, adapt or incorporate MtM Academy content, educator commentary, resources or educational material into any commercial product, coaching business, education program, subscription service or competing business without prior written consent. Members must not create derivative works based on MtM Academy content without prior written consent.
6.2.5 Copyright Notice
Unauthorised reproduction, distribution or commercial use of MtM Academy content may result in immediate termination of membership and legal action to protect Mastering the Markets’ intellectual property rights.
6.2.6 Intellectual Property Ownership
Nothing in these Terms grants members any ownership or intellectual property rights in MtM Academy content. All rights not expressly granted remain the property of Mastering the Markets or its licensors.
6.2.7 Platform Access
Access to MtM Academy is provided as a revocable licence only and may be withdrawn in accordance with these Terms. Members acquire no ownership rights in the platform, community, educational resources or associated intellectual property.
6.2.8 Circumvention
Members must not use MtM Academy content, educational frameworks, methodologies, community structure, educator presentations or proprietary systems to create, operate or assist any competing education business, membership, community or subscription service without the prior written consent of Mastering the Markets.
6.2.9 Confidential Information
Members acknowledge that certain information shared within MtM Academy, including educator discussions, educational frameworks, partner information, business processes, event planning, community initiatives and other non-public information, may be confidential whether disclosed verbally, visually, electronically or in writing.
Members must not disclose or use confidential information outside MtM Academy without prior written consent.
6.3 By posting or submitting content (e.g., comments, discussions, testimonials) within MtM Academy, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and share that content for the operation and promotion of the platform.
Members warrant that they own or have the necessary rights to any content they post and that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Members remain responsible for any content they post and indemnify Mastering the Markets against claims arising from content they upload in breach of these Terms or the rights of any third party.
7. Educational Disclaimer
7.1 Educational Purposes Only
All MtM Academy content, including webinars, livestreams, market scans, chart reviews, educator commentary, watchlists, educational resources, community discussions, partner presentations and other materials are provided solely for educational and informational purposes.
Nothing provided within MtM Academy constitutes financial product advice, personal financial advice, taxation advice, legal advice or a recommendation to acquire, dispose of or hold any financial product.
7.2 Educational Commentary
MtM Academy is an educational membership and does not operate as a trade alert, signal, portfolio management or investment recommendation service.
Educators may discuss shares, ETFs, cryptocurrencies, commodities, foreign exchange, derivatives or other financial markets to demonstrate market analysis, technical analysis, fundamental analysis, portfolio construction, risk management and investment principles.
Any securities, markets or investment opportunities discussed are educational illustrations only and must not be interpreted as instructions, recommendations or signals to buy, sell or hold any financial product.
7.3 Changing Market Conditions
Financial markets continually change and educational commentary reflects an educator’s views at the time it is provided only.
Mastering the Markets is under no obligation to provide ongoing commentary, revised opinions, follow-up analysis or updates regarding previously discussed securities, investment ideas, market commentary or educational examples.
Educators may also hold differing views or opinions on financial markets from time to time. Such differences form part of the educational experience and do not constitute inconsistent investment advice or recommendations.
7.4 Independent Decision Making
Members remain solely responsible for conducting their own research, monitoring their own investments, managing their own risk, determining position sizing and making their own investment decisions.
Members acknowledge they should not rely solely on MtM Academy content, educator commentary or community discussions when making financial decisions and should seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
Members acknowledge they remain solely responsible for all investment decisions, profits, losses and investment outcomes arising from their participation in MtM Academy.
7.5 No Personal Advice
Mastering the Markets does not provide personalised financial advice, portfolio reviews, investment recommendations, trade management or individual buy or sell advice.
Questions submitted during live sessions, webinars, community discussions or member interactions will be answered on a general educational basis only.
7.6 Educational Trade Examples
Any charts, watchlists, trade examples, case studies, investment scenarios or portfolio discussions presented by educators are provided solely to demonstrate educational concepts, market analysis and decision-making frameworks.
They should not be interpreted as recommendations, ongoing trade management or an indication of future performance.
7.7 Community Discussions
MtM Academy provides a community for members to learn collaboratively.
Opinions expressed by members, moderators, ambassadors, educators, sponsors, guest presenters or other participants are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Mastering the Markets.
Mastering the Markets does not verify, endorse or adopt opinions expressed by community members and accepts no responsibility for investment decisions made based on community discussions or third-party content.
Members acknowledge that community discussions are not moderated in real time and remain responsible for independently verifying any information shared by other members.
Community discussions may contain opinions, errors or outdated information.
7.8 No Portfolio Monitoring
MtM Academy does not monitor members’ portfolios, provide ongoing portfolio management or notify members when market conditions, investment theses or educator views change.
Members are responsible for independently assessing whether an investment thesis remains valid and determining when to enter, manage or exit any investment.
7.9 No Reliance
Members acknowledge that they have not relied upon any statement, representation, promise or expectation not expressly contained within these Terms when deciding to join or continue their MtM Academy membership.
8. Privacy and Communications
8.1 MtM Academy collects and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available on our Website.
8.2 By joining MtM Academy, you consent to receive administrative, educational, and promotional communications via email, in-app notifications, or SMS. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
8.3 SMS communications comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Each message includes an opt-out option or link.
9. Termination and Suspension
9.1 We may suspend or terminate membership where, in our reasonable opinion, a member:
- harms the community
- damages the reputation of Mastering the Markets
- disrupts educational delivery
- interferes with the learning experience of other members
- misuses Academy content or intellectual property
- attempts to circumvent Academy systems or community protections or
- creates legal risk, regulartory or commercial risk for Mastering the Markets.
9.2 No refunds or credits will be issued for terminated or suspended memberships due to member misconduct or breach.
9.3 You may reapply for membership following termination, but approval is at our discretion.
9.4 Membership Licence
Membership provides a revocable, non-transferable licence to access MtM Academy during the applicable membership period. Membership does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property or create any ongoing right of access beyond the paid membership period.
9.5 Effect of Termination
Upon termination or expiry of membership, all rights to access MtM Academy cease immediately. Members must immediately cease accessing or using MtM Academy and must not retain, share, distribute or use any copies, recordings, screenshots, downloads or reproduced materials obtained through their membership, except where expressly authorised by Mastering the Markets. Members must continue to comply with all obligations relating to confidentiality and intellectual property following termination.
9.6 Continuing Obligations
Clauses relating to intellectual property, confidentiality, community conduct, payment obligations, limitations of liability and any provisions which by their nature are intended to survive termination continue to apply after membership ends.
10. Australian Consumer Law
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, MtM Academy limits its liability for services to, at its option: (a) re-supplying the services; or (b) paying the cost of having the services supplied again to the extend permitted by law.
11. General
11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
11.2 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, without affecting the remaining provisions.
11.3 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and MtM Academy and supersede any prior understandings, agreements, or representations.

11.5 Changes to the Platform
Mastering the Markets may modify, suspend, discontinue or replace any feature, educator, service, community space, partner benefit or functionality within MtM Academy at any time where reasonably required for operational, educational, legal or business reasons.
11.6 Electronic Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing MtM Academy or continuing to use the platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
11.7 Relationship with Other Terms
Where a member is also enrolled in a Mastering the Markets Course or attends a Mastering the Markets event, these Terms operate in addition to the applicable Website, Course and Event Terms and Conditions. To the extent of any inconsistency, the terms that most specifically relate to the relevant product or service will apply.
11.8 Waiver
A failure or delay by Mastering the Markets to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.
11.9 Academy House Rules
Members must comply with the MtM Academy House Rules, Community Guidelines and any other operational policies published within MtM Academy from time to time. Compliance with these documents is an ongoing condition of membership. Failure to comply may result in moderation, suspension or termination in accordance with these Terms.
11.10 Force Majeure
Mastering the Markets is not liable for any delay, interruption or failure to provide MtM Academy services where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, technology failures, platform providers, natural disasters, government action or other force majeure events.
11.11 Service Availability
While Mastering the Markets uses reasonable efforts to provide uninterrupted access to MtM Academy, we do not guarantee that the platform, live sessions or associated services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We are not liable for interruptions caused by maintenance, third-party service providers, internet outages, technical failures or events beyond our reasonable control. This includes interruptions to, or the cancellation, rescheduling or substitution of, individual live sessions or educational content.
11.12 Assignment
Members may not assign, transfer or otherwise deal with their rights or obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of Mastering the Markets. Mastering the Markets may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a business restructure, sale or corporate transaction.
